Anstey Hill

Anstey Hill - here I come

Anstey Hill

Anstey Hill Recreation Park is a 5 minute drive from my home. It’s located in the North Eastern suburbs of Adelaide. It’s my go to place when I need clarity. My thinking space. A place to breathe in the goodness of Mother Nature and ground my soul. Sometimes some nice clean fresh air is all one needs.

As a family we love to walk it. There’s so many different tracks to choose from and they cater for all. There’s steep terrain to mild climbs, easy access car parking, amazing views and an abundance of wildlife to see.  It’s certainly worth the trip out of the CBD if your in town.

I think it’s the wildlife that gets me every time.  Often you’ll see families of Western Greys laying under the shade of the trees only metres away or koalas scattered amongst the gumtrees sleeping in the morning sun. This is what I love most about Anstey’s, the wildlife. Also the fact that we are able to hike amongst the various forms of wildlife and co-exist in nature and explore hidden little treasures along the way. I never get bored of the forever changing view.

Here’s some snaps from my latest adventure…

I love this tree! Every time I hike different tracks it always without fail brings me back to this tree… ๐ŸŒฟ

Could hang out with these little guys all day long…

Love the different areas scattered amongst the park for picnics and gathering.

Take the time to make the trip and get amongst nature. Anstey’s such a beautiful part of Adelaide to explore. Happy hiking! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
