Spring is finally here!
Sunshine, new life and plenty of opportunities. I love spring fashion season. It brings everything to life, animals, nature and people. We all get a bit of a bounce in our step at this time of year. We become inspired, we get focused and we’re motivated.
I love this outfit, it’s fresh, vibrant and alive! It makes me want to dance down the street and high five passerby’s! The ruffles, the stripes, the length of skirt is just perfect. Style it with a simple white T from supre and connies and you’re good to go! Casual, fun and fresh. This outfit screams barbie lunch, beach wanderers or a session with your girls.
As I said in my SS17 Trend Alert post ruffles was definitely one of the trends this year and there’s no denying that! I fell in love with skirt straight away. The length is simply divine. The shape is perfect for my body. I’m a real women with a real shape. I’m a bum and boobs kinda girl. I found this shape super flattering. Defining my waist all while not loosing the shape of my hips. I was never really one to show my shape, embarrassed, unsure, all the usual insecurities but since I’ve hit 40 and lost some weight (not by choice) I don’t care.
What you see is what you get. I’ve had two kids, I’ve fluctuated in weight for many years, life’s too short to care. I have varicose veins, I have cellulite, I have hair growing where it shouldn’t, I’m a women, I’m not perfect but by golly I’m me. I can finally say I’m comfortable in my skin! I have no care for judgement or the bullshit other women put on one another, seriously? Why? Why not back a sister? There is way too much negativity in this world already. Lead by example for your kids. Teach them too care, too judge less and dance to their own drum. Life lessons 101 over here! Ha! Anyway find what makes you feel sexy and wear that, find what makes you feel alive and wear that, just wear and do what makes you happy. It’s that simple really….
